The uses of Hypnosis are vast, and It is particularly effective in areas where greater control over an aspect of an individuals life is required.

Hypnosis has been around for thousands of years, under many different names, but Its only in the last fifty years or so that the truly amazing therapeutic uses of Hypnosis have been discovered.

How does Hypnosis work?

Your mind is made up of two parts, the conscious, and the sub-conscious.

The conscious part of your mind is there to make day to day decisions. The way we behave or respond in a certain manner, is mainly down to the conscious decisions we are constantly making.

The sub-conscious mind does not make decisions, it merely responds to the way It has been programmed. Good or bad you may quite often find yourself engaged in some form of behaviour that you were not initially aware of in your conscious state.

The aim of the Clinical Hypnotherapist is to tap into the sub-conscious part of your mind, and make gentle changes to unwanted behaviours, or to implant required behaviours, to effect positive change.

Who can be Hypnotised?

Virtually everyone can be Hypnotised - but only if they want to be.

Concerns are often raised by people who have seen stage hypnosis shows, and wondered if they could be made to lose control themselves.

The stage entertainer is very skilled at seeking out exhibitionists who are only too pleased to perform in front of a crowd.

The Hypnotherapist is only interested in the well-being of his, or her clients, and sticks very strictly to moral and ethical codes of conduct.
